Michael Kelly of All Area Bathrooms undertook all aspects of our bathroom renovation at our property in Evandale. We contacted Michael through his advertisement in The Messenger. When we purchased appropriate tiles and fixtures for the bathroom, Michael was also highly recommended by the staff at International Ceramics.
Michael responded to our initial call promptly, arranged a convenient time to view the potential job and provided a quote within 2-3 days. The quote was very detailed. Each aspect was itemized. Therefore, we had a clear idea of what the work involved from the outset and what we had to supply. The quote was competitive. The efficiency and accuracy characterized all aspects of the renovation from the demolition of the existing 1950’s bathroom through to the installation of the bath, toilet, windows, vanity, new shower screen and the supervision of all the plumbing work. The tiling, including detailed mosaic feature on the bath, is excellent.
My husband and I work full-time. We provided Michael with a house key for the duration of the project and we trusted him to complete the work even though we were not at the house.

I have recently engaged Michael Kelly of All Area Bathrooms to renovate the bathroom/laundry in my circa 1899 sandstone cottage.
Michael was prompt when arriving, with the written quote supplied within a few days – very detailed and at a competitive price. The job involved a complete gutting of 2 rooms and the installation of a new concrete floor, plumbing pipework, electrical wiring, installation of floor to ceiling wall tiling and floor tiling, along with complete installation of laundry cabinetry and all fixtures and fittings.
The job was started on time, and as with most renovations on old properties, there were a few unexpected obstacles from day 1, which Michael (and co-workers) worked through and found solutions for. As I work full time, I gave Michael unsupervised access to my home for the 2 week duration of the work – which I had no hesitation in doing as both Michael and Cameron were very professional and trustworthy. The house was left in a tidy state every evening and each morning any queries or potential problems were discussed so I knew what was happening at all stages of the project. The work, of superior quality, was completed smoothly, on time and on budget, with the outcome of the rooms looking exactly as I had envisioned them. A fabulous result!

Even though our bathroom is not large nor the budget we outlaid for the construction work, we felt that every effort and aspect of the work was of a high standard.
Before the renovations our bathroom measured 2.1m x 1.8m which included a vanity and a bath that joined on to our shower enclosure. After discussion and planning over a few meetings and numerous phone calls we decided that changing the layout would be the best direction for our renovation.
The bath was placed under the window and was able to be increased in size. The shower was also increased with the door placed on a 45 degree angle and also being semi-frameless making the room feel more spacious. We decided on floor to ceiling tiling with a simple freeze encapsulating the mirror above the vanity. The look was perfect, and the overall effect was amazing.
We only have one bathroom area and were impressed that the entire renovation was over in 7 days. I was also impressed that the boys suggested we source all of the appliances, so we could get the best possible price.

We have an older type home with heigh ceilings which meant the tiling went up some 12 feet and, also we chose to have it done in a “brick” design which meant smaller tiles and considerably more of them. After obtaining quotes we engaged Michael Kelly to totally renovate our bathroom in September 2007. The work included removing and replacing the existing concrete floor, replacing the existing plumbing, installing a new spa, shower and toilet and hand basin, replacing the existing ceiling, replacing an existing timber window and tiling the wall and floor.
Michael coordinated all of the activities of the electrical, concrete and plumbing trades and there were no delays due to their non availability. All activities were undertaken on the days indicated to us.
They provided protection to the adjoining timber floors and arranged for all rubbish to be removed from the house and disposed of by mini skip bins at the end of each day as the work proceeded.
We are extremely happy with the quality of the workmanship. Michal and his team have a fantastic work ethic and undertake their work in a pleasant and courteous manner. Their work is of high quality and was started and completed in the time indicated to us.

It is a pleasure for me to record our experience of dealing with Michael over the few weeks during which he worked in our home. I had arranged for two bathrooms and a laundry to be completely renovated.
I was impressed by Michael's attitude on our first meeting. He seemed to be quietly efficient and professional. This emerged in both the simple and more complex dealings with us. He was concerned to ensure he made as little disturbance as possible. He was most careful in the clearing of his work areas and made serious efforts to reduce noise and dust.
